PUB DUTY MANAGER
Bury St Edmunds
Our client is looking for a Front of House manager to join their busy and friendly team in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. The independently run pub is one of the oldest in the area and provides good quality food and accommodation in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
Key responsibilities will include:
· Overseeing smooth running of service for the session and overall responsibility for the pub, hotel and surrounds.
· Ensuring the team follow and deliver pub licensing laws at all times
· Providing a relaxed, informal, friendly and at all times professional service
· Operational procedures including data entry, calculation and control of gross profit for the pub
· Development and day to day running of the team including rotas, wages, meetings and training
· Purchasing and ordering of stock for the pub
· Maintenance of levels of standards and service throughout
· Responsibility for health and safety of pub staff and customers alike
· Cash handling
· Completion of support paperwork and administration documentation
· A “Stop Over” function 2/3 nights a week is possible
You will be well groomed and of smart appearance at all times, positive and friendly, warm, welcoming and unobtrusive whilst having the capability to be attentive, helpful and available to customers. Have excellent communication and leadership skills and are able to resolve any issues in a professional manner. You will be a Personal Licence holder or working towards achieving this status.
