Formulates and implements manufacturing policies and programs to maintain and improve the competitive position and profitability of the operation. Directs and coordinates production activities so that approved products are manufactured on schedule and meet quality standards and cost objectives. Manages projects such as facility footprint utilization and / or moves, integration of acquisition operations, outsourcing strategies, capital expenditures, lean /Six initiatives, etc
Essential Tasks and duties
- Manage overall manufacturing operations capacity and interactions between departments (assembly, Supply chain, planning, etc)
- Responsible for Hiring/termination recommendations, development, training, coordination and scheduling of operations personnel.
- Create and monitor department metrics on customer performance and efficiency.
- Ensure all products are fabricated, assembled and shipped as required to meet customer schedules and quality requirements.
- Establishes policies and programs to support and achieve the companies objections in producing high quality products, as engineered, that meet or exceed customer requirements.
