SENIOR ACCOUNT EXECTUTIVE

Cambridgeshire 

Medium sized lively PR company have a vacancy for a highly motivated and driven individual.  Working with both blue chip and global brands across the UK and Internationally, your role specifically will be responsible for the UK PR for several FMCG brands 

This is a fantastic opportunity for candidates with strong PR or jounalistic skills who are able to hit the ground running. You will be working as an integral part of an existing team but should also have the ability to self manage. 

Your key responsibilities will include: 

·        Building relationships with key media

·        Press release and article writing

·        Preparing copy for newsletters and on-line news services

·        Inputting into proposals and presentations

·        Report and speech writing

·        Providing briefing material for clients

·        Inputting into client media training

·        Preparation of Q&A’ s /reserve statements

·        Proof reading

·        Event organisation and attendance

·        Attendance at client meetings and production of contact reports

·        Organising and attending press trips

·        Daily client liaison  

YOU will be able to work independently, be confident with dealing with both consumer and trade journalists and have strong writing skills.  Negotiation skills could be an advantage as you will also liase with media to buy space for features 

This is not a job for someone looking for their first job in PR or wanting to make the move from sales or marketing.   Experience in a PR department is a neccessity.
