Area Sales Manager
Essex, Suffolk and Kent
My client a well known and respected business in the equine/animal industry is looking for an Area Sales Manager to cover Essex, Suffolk and Kent. You will work from home attending various meetings in the region throughout the year.
You will be a bright and enthusiastic target driven area sales candidate with the drive and self confidence to develop the business and close a sale.
You will ideally hold an academic qualification within the equine and animal husbandry field and will be experienced in both the practical and theoretical equine arena.
You will be based from home (with overnight stays when necessary) and therefore must possess a full UK driving Licence. You will be responsible for managing and growing the business through existing clients and the development of new business.
Your duties will include the following:
• To achieve sales results set for your area within Company Policy and principles
• To manage and maintain existing stockists and appoint new stockists visiting both within your area
• To manage stockists' accounts and maintenance of client profiles and sales plans and Produce Sales Forecasts
• To monitor market place and give feedback on competitor's products/policies
• Assist with nutritional enquiries, liaising with the Nutritionist regarding new products
• Increasing sales by undertaking promotions, lectures, talks, presentations, promotional activity, trade shows, open evenings, cold calling and face to face contact with end users
• Attend Sales Meetings when required
• Liaise with Production/Transport and Accounts departments
A background, passion, interest, knowledge and sales experience within the equine or animal industry is necessary to apply for this position. You must be IT literate, flexible to overnight stays and weekend/evening work when necessary
In return you will receive a generous salary with target related bonus entitlements. A fully expensed company car, lap top and mobile phone will also be provided with this Area Sales manager position in East Anglia. Remuneration will be reviewed (based on performance) after six months. You will also be provided with training and other benefits associated with various partnerships. Life Insurance, 20 days holiday per annum and pension.
This exciting area manager’s job role is commutable from Suffolk, Kent and Essex. For ease of travelling Essex will be the middle region so the ideal candidate would be located in this region
