Are you interested in an exciting job opportunity as a Marketing Manager position in Essex?
With 50,000 products available, this UK leading electronics distributor is looking for a Product Champion to join their existing dealing with electromechanical products. You will have a strong electrical and technical product knowledge and have worked in a similar industry to be considered for this role.
You will take ultimate responsibility for the performance of a defined product portfolio. This responsibility includes ownership for product range, revenue, margin and stockholding and you must have a solid understanding of the requirements of the UK electronics industry- including products and brand.
You will be an experienced marketing professional from the electronic manufacturing industry with a proven track record to be considered for this role
Key responsibilities include:
· Overall responsibility for Product Portfolio and Strategy aligned to Company Strategic Objectives in achieving sales, profit and stock targets
· Developing and managing annual supplier business plans and performance reviews
· Continual Vendor relationship management to support Sales & Marketing strategies
· Continual assessment of the market and competition and reporting to Management Team
· Gap analysis, profile customer and sector needs and deploy appropriate Sales and Promotional action plans
· Engage with and enlist new product brand/franchise opportunities
· New product Introduction and Marketing Plans including Budgets
· Pricing strategies and ensuring best delivered cost is being achieved
· Margin Management and corrective action
· Liase with Procurement to ensure appropriate support performance is maintained
· Develop and deliver a product portfolio development plan
· Regularly report on the progress and performance of this plan
· Analyse the existing portfolio and identify gaps
· Delegate parts of the plan to the buyers and manage these projects through
You will possess a strong commercial acumen along with a good technical and application knowledge of the products within the company’s portfolio. You will have marketing experience and be able to guide the direct mail and web teams to produce successful marketing campaigns. Strong communication skills are essential for this position.
You will be passionate about driving higher sales, profit and customer satisfaction and be able to understand the company strategy and deliver through Management of product portfolio. The ideal candidate will posses excellent people, communication and negotiation skills and be Sales and Profit orientated.
