GENERAL MANAGER

Local Manufacturing Company operating in a specialist market; well established and successful in their niche, are recruiting for a new position as General Manager working directly with the Managing Director. This instrumental and operational role will include the following responsibilities:
• Day to day running of the business
• Driving continuous improvements
• Involvement in Purchasing
• Overseeing Health & Safety
• Working towards an agreed forecast, with responsibility for the Profit & Loss
• Front line, operational business decision making
• Customer relationship management and business development
• Systems implementation and development
You will have previous experience within a manufacturing Company, with previous experience in all the above areas. You will need to be a strong man-manager with natural commercialism business acumen, ability to work with financials and a sales bias.
In order to drive the business forward you will be able to demonstrate that you are driven, pro-active, extremely self motivated, credible with the ability to gain buy-in from others and make decisions and maximise opportunities.
