Finance Manager


Manningtree, Essex

 

An internationally established industrial organisation based in Manningtree, Essex is recruiting for a Finance Manager to look after the accounts for their UK office.  With production in Europe, Asia and South America this innovative company is on a constant search for new service horizons.

 

This integral role is crucial to the business and the key responsibilities will include:


· Purchase Ledger - payment of suppliers in UK and Europe in sterling and euros

· Sales Ledger - recording receipts, credit control, customer queries

· Monitoring bank account to ensure timely payment of suppliers

· Monthly salaries (Sage payroll)

· Monthly management accounts for parent company in Spain using Excel spreadsheets

· Preparation of Statutory Accounts at year end

· Stock Control

· VAT returns

· Intrastat returns

· Maintenance of personnel records and administration of Health & Safety policy with the assistance of an external consultant

 


You should be able to offer my client the ability to hit the ground running and demonstrate your ability to take charge and manage the accounts function.  It is important that you can build relationships with your work colleagues and work in partnership with them.  You will need to work off your own initiative in order to meet deadlines.
